Well, folks, the time has come. Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend. To be specific, we return to Standard Time at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday. And that means it’s time to change our clocks back one hour tomorrow night (read: get an “extra” hour of sleep). How many clocks do you have in your house? Between the clocks on our oven, microwave, kitchen wall, and in our living room, bedroom, and home office, I know the hubster and I will have plenty of opportunities tomorrow night to wind our time-keeping friends.
Want to be sure you wake up in sync with the rest of the United States on Sunday morning? (This action happens to fall into many households’ respective versions of organizational bliss). Perhaps the following three ideas will help remind you to “fall back” on Saturday night:
1. Put a note on your pillow reminding you to change your clocks before catching some zzzzz. Nerdy? Perhaps. Helpful? Very.
2. Put a post-it note on any device that relies on internal time mechanisms and needs adjusting (read: thermostat, timers, etc.)
3. Leave a note in your car as a reminder to change the clock in your vehicle.
Have a great weekend!
